IPP Snowboard & Ski Jam 2008

Sunday 5th October saw the very first Ipswich Park Project Ski & Snowboard Jam in aid of Cancer Research at the Suffolk Ski Centre.
The weather was, to be honest, atrocious; heavy rain and wind almost all day, but that didn't prevent an impressive turnout of boarders and skiers all charging hard on the awesome IPP jibs and kickers. With a mountain of prizes on offer from the very generous sponsors - too many to list, but honorary mentions must go to Analog Clothing for the sweet jackets, Gravis shoes (sick limited edition hi-tops!), WeSC for the Jussi headphones, and Volcom - every rider went away stoked. Congrats to IPP regular Trevdog for walking away with the Riders Choice award and bagging a new Flow snowboard and bindings.
The only downer of the day was the lack of Odyssey presence, caused by the abominable weather which prevented us from setting up our stall where we woulda been selling sale snowboard gear. Dammit! We'll be back next year with an even bigger and better event but in the meantime you'll just have to buy from the shop or the website!
A huge shout out must go to IPP founders Greg and Smithy for organising an awesome event, building all those sick hits and raising loads of money for a great cause. Nice one guys.
